M Ashwin, who spent several years as a net bowler for Chennai Super Kings, rose to prominence after attracting a huge bid from Rising Pune Supergiants in 2015. After being snapped up by Delhi, the leg-spinner was picked up by Punjab Kings for INR 20 lakhs ahead of IPL 2019. While he played 10 games, he struggled to find wickets as he could manage only 5 dismissals to his name but made a decent comeback scalping 10 wickets in the 9 matches he played for PBKS in 2020.
